Jim O'Brien

Vice-President

At the core of any successful professional is usually a strong, focused individual who does whatever necessary to help clients attain their goals. As vice president and principal of Jimerico Construction, James O’Brien is no exception.

With his passion for building and energetic spirit, Jim makes the development and construction of every project a richly rewarding and positive experience. Whether managing or constructing a project, his extensive knowledge and attention to detail are genuine assets to his clients. By keeping owners and developers informed every step along the way, he not only ensures their ability to make sound decisions but has cemented a reputation for integrity. As a result, his services are greatly in demand.

Jim began his career in 1979 working as a carpenter. He rapidly advanced to the management level before founding his own subcontracting firm and later Jimerico with partner Derrick Caglianone. Jim holds a Florida Certified General Contractors license and is a member of the Association of General Contractors and the Lake Homebuilders Association. He resides in Lady Lake with his wife and two children.

Derrick Caglianone

President

A strong work ethic, entrepreneurial nature and commitment to customer service are the foundation of Derrick Caglianone’s success within the construction industry.  He began his career at a young age installing carpet. In the 25 years since then, Derrick has gone on to learn every facet of the construction business from the ground up, first serving as a laborer and later becoming a subcontractor. Along the way, he gained a reputation for straightforwardness, meticulous craftsmanship and skillful negotiation.

In 1997, at the urging of business associates, he put this hands-on practical education to work on a larger scale, founding Jimerico Construction with his partner, James O’Brien.

Derrick and his wife live in Plantation. He founded The Pamela Caglianone Foundation in her honor after she was diagnosed with and successfully treated for lymphoma in 2005. This non-profit organization is dedicated to supporting children and families affected by cancer.
